As a photographer I am focussing on projects operating in a cross-over area between documentary and autonomous photography. I express myself in series which base their subject matter on topics close to myself, but which have a wider meaning by addressing a more universal tendency. In doing so I motivate the viewer to search for a personal relation and interpretation and aim for a subtle form of universal social criticism. My latest series “Unsettled” was awarded, published and exhibited (Inter)nationally since 2008 and received a project grant from the Dutch ‘Anna Cornelis’ foundation. I am preparing a book publication, scheduled for 2012.
