Concept, unique cut and perfect finishing are essential to my passion for fashion. Garments I create often have a graphic feel to them and are reminiscent of the traditional Japanese art of origami paper folding. This graphic approach is also mirrored in the designs of my fabrics: they’re full of rhythm and sometimes really make your head spin. The designs often consist of three colours, with red as my recurring favourite. From the conceptual phase to the very first drafts and storyboards, designing the fabrics, and the actual sewing of the product – everything is in my own hands; and every step of the way is equally exciting and challenging.
