Marussiac (Tomas Marusiak) was born on 21 April 1980 in Kosice, Slovakia, Europe. His father Peter worked as a computer systems specialist and later as a head of information technology company. His mother worked as a nurse in polyclinic.
Tomas graduated from Secondary school of civil engineering in Kosice in 1998, and enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, graduating in June 2004. At that time, Tomas visited Paris, for him art had a strong influence of new media art. During academy, he met Peter Jakubik a fellow student.
After graduation, Tomas moved back to Kosice. His good friend and famous artist Rudolf Sikora invited him to teach in new Academy of fine arts in Kosice. Tomas as a recent graduate of the Academy was an important figure, one of the founder of a new school of new media art in Kosice. He met again with Peter Jakubik, and jointly develop a creative studio TomCatEden and Visual Culture Magazine-Cultcode.com. At that time, Tomas created many online art instalations. In 2006, he began to make his first mobile phones art aplications, they were based on ironic intrpretation of Bible and politic.Tomas was at that time focused on research, exhibited their projects and lectures.Marussiac is author and coauthor of many publications on art. In 2008, He begins to work with American and European experts on “City Virtual” web application that allows you to create online 3D Virtual art. From 2006 to 2010, Tomas was also active as a manager of various projects: Andy Warhol B-Day with Elton John, New Media point, Comunistar Designer, Open Design 2011, etc... . In 2010, Thomas re-evaluated some of the basic principles of his work, and he begins to focus more on using cultural software . For him it is useless to take the codes and algorithms, he says: “...it is the task for big software companies... it is important to use software that allows free creativity. Tomas in 2011 created his collection D.I.Y., which is a reflection of his thought and thought of post-postmodernism.
