Let's go Nano! Addictlab has partnered up with IMEC (www.imec.be) to launch nanotechnology as an addictlab research theme. What? How? Nanwho? IMEC is Europe's leading independent research center in the field of micro- and nanoelectronics, nanotechnology, enabling design methods and technologies for ICT systems. On May, 7th, 2007 IMEC hosted the Nanotech Outreach Workshop. In 2008 more Outreach projects will be defined. Here is more about nanotechnology. Nanotechnology is the art and science of manipulating matter at the nanoscale (down to 1/100,000 the width of a human hair) to create new and unique materials and products. The opportunities to do things differently with nanotechnology have enormous potential to change society. An estimated global research and development investment of nearly $9 billion per year is anticipated to lead to new medical treatments and tools; more efficient energy production, storage and transmission; better access to clean water; more effective pollution reduction and prevention; and stronger, lighter materials. And these are just a few of the more significant ways in which people are discussing using the technology.

Even when a book on a specific research theme is out, we continue our search and try to take the project to a next level.
Our partnership with IMEC might result in more, so don't stop uploading work linked to Nano.
For an overview of the current work on Nano, visit our project database.
Some of the works can be seen below..

Closing the gap between Nano & education might very well be successful via.... a computer game.
