Addictlab is granted a booth at the famous Salone Satellite.
I'm quite proud to announce you that we have applied and were granted a booth at the Milan Salone Satelliti. During Designweek an important exhibit of young talent (under -35).
About the SaloneSatellite
The SaloneSatellite was created in 1998 for the express purpose of bringing together, in the same place and time, the most promising young designers from all over the world with the most important business people and talent scouts gathered in Milan to visit or exhibit at the Saloni. The Satellite immediately became an unparallelled observatory of young international creativity: many of the pieces presented as prototypes in the fourteen previous editions have gone into production, and many of the participating designers have become important figures in the star system.
Each year 700 young designers and students of the most prestigious design schools and universities exhibit and exchange ideas at this unique showcase. The proposals are examined and evaluated by a prestigious Selection Committee drawn from the same pool of international professionals from the world of design, architecture and media.

opportunity
It goes without saying that this is an important window on the design & branding world for Addictlab. There is an important cost involved, to be clear. But to be able to showcase our global thinking, work and design talent from all different countries is something I think we really should do.
I want to show talent from the addictlab database, but in this case I really want to emphasize on the global approach behind Addictlab, not as a Belgian group or other nationality. This will make us unique at the fair. The booth's concept isn't finalised, but I'm thinking of a giant worldmap on the floor with objects from talented people that deserve to be seen from all continents.
All objects and designers need to have a registered addictlab account online.
Next to that, I'd want an idea generating system, so that visitors of the booth can actually participate in some of our research. And of course, we have a working budget for our research - hence how I can cover for the cost.

Hi all , just a brief message to announce the Toerisme Vlaanderen office in Milan has proposed to organise a press conference in Milan on Friday March 16.
This to introduce to the local press what Addictlab will bring during the Salone. Important is to have sent me high res images and all of your data.
Make sure your labfile is up to date as well.
If you know Milan based or Italian journalists that we need to invite, let me know, we can forward a press release / invite for the March 16 brunch.
Hi, If you are looking for a sort of idea for installation at the fair, in order to display the works. You should be a bit more precise, but with the idea of the world map, there could be something to do with sensors and a software like isadora or Max-Msp for an interaction with the visitor. But this would mean a serious tuning with the visitors.
Am I still allowed to join this group? I am 35 already... Tine DR
