NEWSFLASH VOOR GENT: BLUE NOTE RECORDS FESTIVAL 2008

28 februari & 2 maart in Muziekcentrum De Bijloke Gent
Programma rond voor 1e indooreditie van Blue Note Records Festival 2008
Blue Note Records Festival & Muziekcentrum De Bijloke Gent presenteren in 2008 voor het eerst het ‘Blue Note Records Festival Indoor’ dat zal plaatsvinden op donderdag 28 februari en zondag 2 maart 2008 in de gebouwen van Muziekcentrum De Bijloke in Gent. Net als bij het bekende zomerfestival, dat in juli 2008 zijn 7e editie zal kennen, staat kwaliteit in presentatie en muziek centraal.
De schitterende nieuwe infrastructuur van de Bijloke leent zich bijzonder goed voor een intiem festival met aandacht voor jazzvormen waarvoor het zomerfestival te groot geworden is. Tijdens de Indooreditie zal dan ook plaats gemaakt worden voor integere, akoestische projecten en meer vrije vormen van jazz. Op donderdag 28 februari en zondag 2 maart zullen telkens twee concerten geprogrammeerd worden in de grote concertzaal van de Bijloke Muziekcentrum. Tussen deze concerten zullen in de verschillende ruimtes van het muziekcentrum akoestische concerten te beluisteren zijn waaronder veel creaties die voor dit festival werden uitgewerkt. De bezoekers kunnen daarbij een keuze maken uit het aanbod en de muziek van erg dichtbij beleven. De capaciteit van deze ruimtes is beperkt en de deuren sluiten bij aanvang van de concerten.

## Dries and Bob Van Den Berghe... Designers with a great love for wood 
The Ghent furniture stylist Dries and Bob Vanden Berghe were very successful-mainly with their designs in the seventies and eighties-and obtained several rewards. Undoubtedly their "Cirkante tafel" from 1976 is the most known and most appreciated item out of their collection.
Almost 30 years later this table is still produced at Van Den Berghe-Pauvers , and remains the sign board and logo of this company. Within this company both the designers are managers and manufacturers which guarantees the coherence between design and realisation.They inherited the love for furniture from their father Albert, who from the interbellum on chose definitely for modern design. Although the long history of this company and the obtained rewards of Dries and Bob this is the first publication dedicated to both designers.
