Open Lab 2.0 : South African talent on the move. The international creative think tank Addictlab has partnered up with Elle Decoration and the Design Quarter in Johannesburg to set up its next ‘Open Lab’. The event will show a selection of South African creative talent to Design Quarter’s large audience. [What?]Between March 20 till April 10, visitors of the Design Quarter will have the opportunity to see a part of Addictlab’s activities. A selection of creative talent- ‘Labmembers’ - from different disciplines and different countries will be exhibited, showing new ideas in design, fashion, photography, art and more. [Why?]‘South Africa should be more proud of its creative talent’ says Jan van Mol, founder of the international renowned lab and currently living in South Africa. ‘We try to implement a ‘bottom up’ way of working, a system to accelerate genuine creative talent.’ [Selection]Ideas and concepts shown are linked to the lab’s different research areas. Some ideas will make it in the next publication, some already did, such as the Ad!dict Inspiration book #28 World 2.0 – ideas for a better world.
