Call for ideas: The hospital Club
The hospital Club is a private members club in WC2, it’s also where they film Strictly Come Dancing/T4 and home to the Q Music Club and where people like Bloc Party and REM mixed down some of their albums. It also has luxe cinema, nice restaurant and an art gallery.
The Covent Garden club is the place for members to meet, work, get things done or simply enjoy themselves. So we offer everything they need to do so: bars, lounges, a members’ restaurant, cinema and a gallery, alongside state of the art music and television production facilities.

Audience
Our Club Members – top flight creative from across the creative industries – they have seen it all before and a re hungry for new, risky, thought provoking and rewarding creative forms of communicating brands. Also external clients visiting the club for the first time, making a strong first impression.
Tone
Tongue-in-cheek – take the piss out of your average matchbox etc
Creative Starter
MATCH BOX
– Fun is very important – colour, texture and attitude need to reflect the brand
– Reference the job it is for i.e. match box for setting fire to things
– They are all well established formal things but perhaps think of them as Hitchcock props (like a shot of a plughole or rocking chair) or Alice in Wonderland (like the drink me ticket) clues.
– ‘Strike gently away from body’ – swap taglines to put item out of context, eg have this on a coaster rather than a matchbox, and write ‘Place your drink here’ on the matchbox etc etc
POPCORN BOX
– Fun is very important – colour, texture and attitude need to reflect the brand
– Reference the job it is
– The popcorn box is the scourge of the cinema cleaner / raining popcorn from weather report clouds / popcorn grows on trees;
– Or a 1950’s popcorn bag design eg especially if it’s going to be given out for free, then the small box on right
